Service Pack Installation Steps

Prerequisites

  • Shut down the Patch Connect Plus server.
    Method 1: Right-click on the Patch Connect Plus logo in the notification area of the taskbar and click Stop Service.
    Method 2: Open the Run menu (Windows key + R) and type services.msc. In the Services menu, right-click on ManageEngine Patch Connect Plus and click on Stop.
  • Important: Take a backup of the Patch Connect Plus installation directory (<Install_Dir>/PatchConnectPlus) to avoid any data loss during the upgrade process.
  • If you are upgrading the service pack, install the service pack first, and after successfully restarting the server, proceed with the upgrade to the latest build.

Steps to Apply Hot Fixes

  1. Execute the UpdateManager.bat file present in the <Install_Dir>/PatchConnectPlus/bin directory.
  2. If you are using Patch Connect Plus build version 90114 to 90126:
    • Download the latest certificate by clicking here.
    • Browse to the downloaded .crt file and click on Import.
  3. Click Browse and select the .ppm file that you have downloaded.
  4. Click Install to install the hotfix. This may take a few minutes depending on the amount of data that needs to be migrated.
  5. Wait until the hotfix is fully installed.
  6. Click Close and then click Exit to exit the Update Manager tool.
  7. Start the Patch Connect Plus server.
